Jesus loves the little dinosaurs,
All the dinosaurs of the world,
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in his sight,
Jesus loves the little dinosaurs of the world

Normally, I would never think to shamelessly promote my blog from a friend’s site, but it’s just so damn relevant that I must.

That’s funny. I’ve heard about the creature they’re referring to, it’s the Mokele Mbembe. But I didn’t know anyone took it seriously, but Answers in Genesis is on the case.
The idea that science can prove your faith is just wacky. I’ve posted about it twice, and can probably do more. I’d like to sort of quote Douglas Adams here, and sign off. “I refuse to prove I exist,” says God, “for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.”

Go Douglas Adams! That man was a genius… :D

Sort of quote? Sort of; shmort of. Wacky eh? Sounds to me like you have been programed by media. . .good little puppet! Wanna cookie? :-D

OK, Yoshia, you’re all tone, but no “oomph.” Still, I’ll respond.
By “sort of quote,” I meant quoting out of context. Here’s the full text from Douglas Adams:
“I refuse to prove that I exist,” says God, “for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.”
“But,” says Man, “the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn’t it? It proves you exist, and so therefore, you don’t. Q.E.D..”
“Oh dear,” says God, “I hadn’t thought of that,” and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
“Oh, that was easy,” says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.
That is from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams, published 1979. “Q.E.D.”(Latin quod erat demonstrandum) means, which was to be demonstrated. In American English, “so there.” A zebra crossing is a crosswalk.
You don’t like the word wacky? I was being flip and trying to be funny. I should have used the word misguided. Try a little more from Michael Shermer, PhD in History of Science:
“To fear the theory of evolution is an indication of a shortcoming in one’s faith, as is looking to scientific proof for justification of one’s religious beliefs. If creationists have true faith in their religion, it should not matter what scientists think or say and scientific proof of God or biblical stories should be of no interest.”
Creationists deny evolution, and most of geology, physics, paleontology, archeology, zoology, and botany, not to mention much of human history. I have science behind my comments. What do you have behind yours? Who you calling a puppet?

Just think!, evolution say: 1) in the beginning Dust…, 2) the geological eras (by which means of measurement?, Oh sorry I forgot you are wise, of course they measured the time by means of a Victorinox watch) 3) 10 thousand year ago, of course! the Ice Age… I wonder how fast the evolution worked on Tropical species 4) You all are geniuses, you don’t need God (but I do) 5) furthermore, there are many religions (And if most of them were right, you have nothing to worry about, but if bible is certain- an it is- you better, at least to improve your culture, Read it!). 6) Science is evolutioning too fast, that some truths in past, are becoming false. 7) Science is not evolution!!! 8) Evolution is dogma (Well, that’s what I say) 9) True Science is always open to new ideas, theories, debates, etc. 10) Have you ever take a statistical course?
MCera said this on December 21, 2009 at 6:20 pm
OK, MCera. You like creation. I’ll stick with science, thank you.
Of course there are things that were once thought of as fact, and are now considered wrong. That is how it is done. Creationism says that it happened just as described in the bible. They don’t try to prove anything, all they do is try to disprove evolution. So keep working on ideas to disprove evolution, but it won’t move creationism forward one bit.
Rick said this on December 21, 2009 at 8:52 pm
You are a puppet! sorry break it to ya! You have truly ignored science in your desire to disprove there might be something greater than you. When does a fish know that it is without water and needing to evolve? when he is laying on the ground gasping for air. come on try to have an original thought rather than regurgitate what has been shoveled down your throat your whole life. You absolute evolutionists make it way to easy. by the way as a creationist I do believe in evolution. (creation speaks of it) and I for one am not afraid of it.
Dennis said this on May 5, 2010 at 8:50 pm
OK, Dennis, put your money where your mouth is. You say science is being ignored, which implies that somewhere there is scientific proof of creation. Name it. Share with all of us.
Brenda said this on May 5, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Brenda,Dennis, MCera etc if you want proof, either go to a museum and see it with your own eyes or read a book that isn’t written by an ancient goat-herder. I would suggest “The Greatest Show on Earth” by Richard Dawkins as a good start, it shows example after example of actual proof.

What did God do on the Sabbath and why did he have to rest? If he rested, had a nap or something, He must have left the universe unattended. Further, does God need the rest? If he does than he is human not omnipotent. There is a theological meaning of the myth of Creation and resting on the seventh day. Open your eyes and you will see it in the New Testament.
